The School Day
At Wrockwardine Wood Infant School & Nursery, our carefully planned school day supports children to follow a calm and purposeful rhythm of the day, helping them to feel secure, focused and ready to learn.
Our school opens at 8:40am and closes at 3:10pm, totalling 32.5 hours per week. These timings have been thoughtfully set to:

Allow parents to drop off and collect children from our nursery.

Enable a smooth transition between our school and Wrockwardine Wood C of E Junior School, with a 10-minute travel window to collect older siblings.

| 10:05am – 10:15am | Reception playtime & fresh fruit snack |
| 10:15am – 10:30am | Collective Worship / PSHEE / SMSC |
| 10:30am – 10:40am | Key Stage 1 break & fresh fruit snack |
| 10:50am – 12:00pm | Second session – English, Maths, Science |
| 12:00pm – 1:00pm | Free school lunch for all children |
| 1:00pm – 3:10pm | Afternoon session – Foundation subjects (EYFS: Specific Areas) |
| 3:10pm | Home time for Reception & Key Stage 1 |
| 3:15pm | Nursery doors close |
