I am delighted to welcome you to our school and nursery. We are also part of a part of a federation with Oakengates nursery school. If you click on the logo above it will take you to Oakengates website where you can find out more about the nursery school and it's full day care facilities.
Here at Wrockwardine Wood Infant School and Nursery we are committed to developing each child intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. We believe the firm foundations we set down through our beliefs, curriculum and teaching will help our children to manage life’s challenges.
We strive to make our school a caring community and our children sensitive to the needs of others; a community in which all members have a sense of fairness and justice and the contribution of each member is valued.
Governors, children, parents, teachers, support staff have collectively established a vision statement which is based on our five core values Respect, Resourcefulness, Reciprocity (teamwork), Reflection, Resilience. These underpin everything we do and apply to all members of our school community. To read more about our values and ethos please click here. If you would like to see our school in action watch the video below.
We have an active and successful School Council to ensure children learn about how to stay safe, in school, when they are at home, online or out in the community. The children meet regularly and play an active role in making decisions and contributing to the ethos of our school.
I always encourage an open dialogue with parents. Teachers or support staff are on the playground each morning and at the end of the school day. Please feel free to talk through any concerns you may have. If you require an appointment to speak with me please do so through the school office.
I look forward to seeing you in and around school.Warmest regards
Mrs Denise Garner BEd(hons) NPQH
