Sports Premium and PE at Wrockwardine Wood Infant School and Nursery
At Wrockwardine Wood Infant School and Nursery, we want our children to become physically literate, developing the knowledge, skills, and motivation necessary to lead a healthy, active lifestyle and to participate in physical activity and sport throughout their lives.
Our High-Quality Physical Education Curriculum:
-
Inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities.
-
Provides opportunities for our children to become physically confident, supporting both health and fitness.
-
Builds character and embeds values such as fairness and respect through opportunities to compete in sport and collaborate with others.
We believe physical activity is essential to the holistic development of every child. Not only does it improve overall health and fitness, but it also supports mental wellbeing and cognitive development. Active children are more likely to concentrate and maintain focus in their learning.
